About Me

I began my graphics career in a custom T-shirt printing shop over 15 years ago. Since that time I have come to specialize in print design creating advertisements, catalogs, promotional materials and editorial layout. I'm proficient on both MAC and PC platforms and work mainly with the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator & Dreamweaver) with experience also in Flash, Director, Final Cut Pro and Corel Draw.

Over the past two years I've been attending Portland Community College part time earning my certificate in Web Development & Design and hope to continue in Multimedia. I've created two corporate web sites (www.stylistnewspapers.com & www.colourauhority.com) and am currently learning Flash. I'll be posting new animations and art in my "New Projects" sections so you can see my progress.

In my spare time I volunteer at S.C.R.A.P., an environmentally responsible and affordable art and education non-profit. I also paint, sketch and create mixed-media sculpture and assemblages from reclaimed wood and found objects. I find that graphic design and fine art compliment each other well. Ideas that I initially rendered on screen often find their way into my fine art pieces and vice-versa. All of these activities feed my drive to create and uphold my personal values whether at the office, in my studio or out in my community.

People are one of the best parts of being in design. I get to collaborate with individuals from all walks of life and bring their visions to fruition. From salon owner to tool manufacturer, crafty mom to corporate executive, I can help design materials that fit your goals and budget.

I'm excited to hear about your next project and chat about your freelance or commission opportunity. Feel free to e-mail me, I'd love to hear from you.
